A middle-aged man, identified as Friday, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Oda town in Akure South Local Government area of Ondo State.
The man’s lifeless body was discovered at an abandoned building on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, popularly known as ‘Koko’, was said to be an indigene of Calabar in Cross River State.
He reportedly hanged himself at a dilapidated building located near his mother’s residence in the Emiloro community of the town.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, one of the deceased’s friends expressed shock over the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
