The Ondo State Head of Service(HoS), Mr Bayo Philip, has congratulated workers in the state on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration.
Philip in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday in Akure, commended Organised Labour in the state for maintaining a harmonious relationship.
The statement read: “Fellow workers of our Dear Sunshine State, as we join other workers across the globe to celebrate this year’s Workers Day, I felicitate you on yet another anniversary.
“I particularly rejoice with you for witnessing an era of numerous welfare packages by the present administration under the leadership of our amiable worker-friendly Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who, prioritizes the well-being of the workers, both serving and retired.
“Let me also appreciate the harmonious relationship, based on mutual engagement and dialogue, that the leadership of the Organised Labour has maintained with the government over time.
“I wish to assure our workers of government’s unrelenting commitment to workers’ welfare in the State. Mr Governor is resolute about raising a virile and well-motivated workforce capable of delivering on government programmes and policies.
“As we celebrate, I enjoin our workers to know that to whom much is given, much is expected. There is no more excuses for underperformance or non-performance. We should stay committed to our new mantra, ‘don’t deliver short, don’t deliver late.’
