Ondo SWAN congratulates Olosi-elect, Stephen Alabi

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ondo State chapter, has congratulated a former National President of the association, Stephen Alabi on his emergence as the new Olosi of Osi in Ido/Osi Local Government area of Ekiti State.

The ace broadcaster, lawyer, public relations guru and Law lecturer at the Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, was picked after a rigorous and long process involving traditional divination duly witnessed by a sizable crowd of indigenes, Ekiti State Government officials and traditional rulers in Ido-Osi Local Government area.

SWAN in Ondo State led by its Chairman Segun Giwa noted that the selection of Alabi as the new Olosi of Osi Ekiti by the kingmakers signifies a significant milestone to the development of his community.

“The body of sports writers wishes to join the people of Ondo and Ekiti States to congratulate our former Chairman and President on his emergence as Oba-elect of Osi Ekiti in Ido Osi local government of Ekiti State.

“We are assured that you are going to bring to bear your experience, exposure and national leverage as the monarch of the community.

“Members of the association wish you God’s guidance and a long and fulfilling reign as the traditional ruler of the community.

“We enjoin our Kabiyesi to feel free to always reach out on any issue that requires our attention, praying for a successful reign,” the association said.

The Olosi-elect is a former National President of SWAN; former Chairman, Ondo State chapter; former Chairman, Board of Trustees, SWAN; and member, Management Committee of Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC).
