Ondo workers boo, lock out former Commissioner for Justice, Charles Titiloye
Staff of the Ondo State Ministry of Justice on Wednesday booed and prevented the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Sir Charles Titiloye, from accessing his office.
The irate staff also impounded Titiloye’s official car.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa had earlier in the day sacked all commissioners and aides appointed by the former Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who died in office on December 27.
Trouble started at about 2.30pm when Titiloye drove in his official car to the ministry located at the finance building, Alagbaka to pick his personal belongings from his office.
Immediately the workers cited the former Commissioner, they moved out of their offices and gathered at the open space and balcony preventing him from accessing the office or living the premises.
The workers who gathered in groups, called Sir Titiloye unprintable names.
The former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice who was astonished and visibility shaking, was rescued by armed policemen who arrived in premises in a Hilux Van with SWAT inscription.
Sir Titiloye was led out the premises by armed policemen after about 30 minutes.
The irate workers described Sir Titiloye as the “worst commissioner in the history of the ministry.”
“Titiloye treated us (staff) with disdain and like charlatans. His reigns with impunity and insults staff at will.
“As a matter of facts, he lacks the ability and character to manage people,” said one of the ministry staff who pleaded for anonymity.
