The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council has appointed veteran journalist, Dapo Falade, into its Media and Publicity Committee ahead of the 2027 election.
The Bimbo Adekanmbi Governorship Campaign Council named Yinka Oladoyinbo, a Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Tribune, as its Spokesperson.
The appointments were contained in a statement issued by the campaign council on Saturday.
According to the campaign council, Sulaimon Olanrewaju is to serve as Co-Director and Spokesperson.
Others appointed as Deputy Directors are Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Dapo Falade, Bosede Sodiq, Moses Alao and Fisayo Daramola.
The campaign council said the appointments were part of efforts to strengthen the media and publicity structure of the Adekanmbi Governorship Campaign ahead of the 2027 election.
The committee is expected to coordinate media relations, public communication, publicity and other related activities of the campaign as the APM prepares for the election.
The campaign council said all the appointments take immediate effect.
Falade, who is among the key appointments, is a journalist with more than 20 years of experience covering politics and public affairs. He built his career at the Nigerian Tribune, where he rose to the position of Deputy Editor.
During his career, Falade served in several major editorial capacities, including State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers States, and Lead Senate Correspondent in Abuja, where he covered political and regional developments.
In May 2020, he founded Newscoven.com, a digital news platform focused on delivering news and journalism through the new media space.
Oladoyinbo, the newly appointed Director of Communication and Spokesperson, is a Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Tribune and has 27 years of post-qualification experience in journalism. He has previously worked with Daily Trust and The Punch, serving as State Correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi States.
He currently heads the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune and previously served as Secretary of Ibadan South West Local Government.
Giwa-Onafuwa, another member of the Media and Publicity Committee, is a broadcast media professional with more than 16 years of experience across radio and television.
She has twice served as a General Manager in the broadcast industry and holds a master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan.
