38-year-old Godwins Omobayo takes Oath as new Edo Deputy Gov
The Chief Judge of Edo State, Daniel Okungbowa, on Monday sworn in Marvellous Omobayo, as the Deputy Governor of the State.
Thefrontrank reports that Omobayo replaced Philip Shaibu, who was impeached by the State House of Assembly on Monday morning.
Shaibu was impeached by the House of Assembly after the adoption of the report of the Justice S. A. Omonua (rtd)-led panel.
In his inaugural speech, the deputy governor thanked Governor Godwin Obaseki and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, for finding him worthy of the appointment.
Born on July 19, 1986, Omobayo hails from Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the State.
He is a holder of B.Eng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Public Administration from the University of Benin.
He is a registered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
