Cubana Chief Priest, a socialite and businessman, has lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the House of Representatives seat for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, had in recent months declared his intention to venture fully into politics on the platform of the APC.
The coordinator of the South-East City Boy Movement had purchased the APC nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the federal constituency seat.
He described his ambition as part of efforts to contribute to youth empowerment and grassroots development in the region.
The APC primary, which was conducted as part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 polls, eventually saw Cubana Chief Priest fail to secure the party’s ticket for the constituency.
