Cooking gas surged for the second time in three days amid the Sallah celebration.
A market survey showed that the price of a kilogram of cooking gas rose from N1500 to between N1700 and N 2,000 across different locations in Abuja and Lagos.
This means that cooking gas prices were adjusted upward by N200 and N300.
The latest price hike comes two days after the LPG price was increased to N1500 per kg from N1200.
Recall that the Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers blamed the sudden rise in the price of cooking gas on scarcity, urging government intervention.
