JUNE 12: Let’s keep faith in democracy – ATM urges Nigerians
DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE
12th June 2026
To the good people of Ondo North Senatorial District and to all Nigerians at home and abroad:
Today we celebrate Democracy Day – a reminder that power truly belongs to the people.
Democracy is not just about elections and ballots. It is about voices being heard, rights being respected, and leaders being accountable. It is about building a nation where every child, every farmer, every trader, and every worker has hope for a better tomorrow.
To Ondo North: Our Senatorial District is blessed with hardworking people, brilliant minds, and a rich culture of unity. Let us use this democracy to build more schools for our children, better healthcare for our mothers, jobs for our youths, and infrastructure that connects all 6 LGAs – Akoko Northeast, Akoko Northwest, Akoko South East, Akoko South West, Owo, and Ose. Our diversity is our strength, and our unity is our power.
To Nigeria: 26 years of uninterrupted democratic rule is not by accident. It is the result of sacrifices made by heroes past and the resilience of citizens today. The journey has not been perfect, but the progress is real. With patience, patriotism, and participation, we will fix what is broken and build what is needed.
As we mark this day, let us renew our commitment to peace, tolerance, and nation-building. Let us vote wisely, speak truthfully, and serve selflessly. Democracy works best when the people are awake and engaged.
May this Democracy Day bring renewed hope, unity, and prosperity to every home in Ondo North and across Nigeria.
Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria
God bless Ondo North. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed
