Man arrested for allegedly raping 14-year-old daughter for six years

A 40-year-old man, Abraham Achibong, has been apprehended by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter.

A statement by the Spokesperson for the command, Daniel Aidamenbor, in Akure, said the suspect had been forcefully having canal knowledge of his daughter for six years.

“This has been going on for six years until a few days ago when the girl (name withheld) summoned the courage to confide in her teacher when the Ondo State Primary Health Care officers visited her school on a sensitisation programme on human papillomavirus vaccine.

“The suspect has since confessed to the crime, and he would be prosecuted in the law court for rape, molestation and incest,” he said.
