Residents struggle for free beer as loaded truck crashes in Abuja

Some residents of Abuja, the nation’s capital, treated themselves to free beers on Tuesday at the Berger roundabout when a truck loaded with beer fell off the road.

The lone accident occurred at about 4.00 p.m along Mabushi/ Berger Expressway, when the driver lost control and veered off the road.

Immediately after the accident, some residents were seen helping themselves with bottles of beer as they surrounded the truck.

Some ‘Big Boys’ with exotic cars also hurriedly pulled off and joined in the ‘feast’, while some dispatch riders, Bolt and Uber drivers temporarily suspended their trips to partake.

Some residents were seen going home with crates of beer while some left with buckets filled with beer.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were however, on standby to tow the truck from the scene of the accident.
