House of Representatives aspirant for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Barr. Wale Omoniyi has formally submitted a petition to the Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress over the outcome and conduct of the party’s primary in the constituency.
Speaking shortly after the submission, Omoniyi stated that the petition became necessary in order to protect the integrity of the democratic process and uphold the genuine wishes of party members and stakeholders across the federal constituency.
He expressed confidence in the internal mechanisms and leadership of the APC, noting that the appeal process would provide an opportunity for fairness, justice, and proper review of the concerns raised by his team.
According to him, the struggle is beyond personal ambition, stressing that it represents the collective desire of party faithful who believe in transparency, equity, and due process within the party structure.
Barr. Wale Omoniyi further assured his supporters and members of the Possibility Agenda Movement that the team remains resolute, focused, and committed to pursuing the matter to a logical and victorious end through legitimate and constitutional means.
He also called on supporters across the 23 wards of Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency to remain peaceful, united, and steadfast while the party’s appeal process continues.
Political observers within the constituency have described the development as a significant step in the ongoing post-primary consultations and realignments within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
