Ondo 2024: PDP elects 627 delegates ahead of April 25 primary

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ondo State on Saturday elected 627 delegates ahead of the party’s April 25 governorship primary.

Thefrontrank reports that the delegates are to elect the party’s candidate for the November 16 governorship election.

The Spokesperson for the party in the state, Kennedy Peretei, who described the delegate congress as free and fair, said delegates emerged through consensus.

Peretei said the party concluded its delegates’ congresses by electing one person from each of the local government area.

Seven aspirants are vying for the party’s ticket.

They are a former Deputy Governor in the state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi; Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Engr Adeolu Akinwumi, Chief Sola Ebiseni, John Ola Mafo, Bosun Arebuwa and Hon Kolade Akinjo.
