Data from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) showed that all the 18 local government areas in Ondo State received a total of ₦13.787 billion in net allocations from the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in June, 2026, Thefrontrank reports.
Thefrontrank analysis of the data showed that Akure South Local Government received the highest allocation of N959.064 million among the 18 local governments.
According to data from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, the breakdown of the allocation is as follow;
- Akoko North-East: N759.505m
- Akoko North-West: N808.728m
- Akoko South-West: N648.55m
- Akoko South-East: N798.038m
- Akure North: N667.192m
- Akure South: N959.064m
- Idanre: N705.027m
- IFedore: N701.701m
- Okitipupa: N805.298m
- Ilaje: N891.246m
- Ese-Odo: N717.062m
- Ileoluji-Okeigbo: N721.716m
- Irele: N722.149m
- Odigbo: N825.896m
- Ondo East: N594.954m
- Ondo West: N894.027m
- Ose: N733.575m
- Owo: N839.343m
Net total: N13.787bn
The data shed light on the scale of monthly allocations disbursed to the 18 local governments in Ondo State, raising questions about transparency, public accountability, and the impact of such funds on infrastructure and service delivery in the state.
Efforts to get responses from relevant local government authorities on how the funds have been utilised were unsuccessful.
