The Ondo State Police Command says it is investigating Apostle Micheal Olowookere, the General Overseer of Corban Christian Assembly, over an alarm that terrorists are planning to attack some locations in the state this week.
DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the spokesperson for the command, made this know on Tuesday while speaking during a radio programme in Akure.
Thefrontrank reports that Olowookere, had in a viral video warned of an impending terror attack in some parts of the state between Monday and Friday this week.
Reacting to the claim, Jimoh said the command has invited the cleric on the need to shed more light on the video.
“We want to assure Ondo residents that the outcome of the investigation will be made public,” Jimoh said.
He warned against unverified or fabricating security threats for social media engagement.
Olowookere in the viral video calimed: “The targets of the attack are churches, security outposts, or any form of large gatherings.
“Mount men around your churches, let them watch. Ensure you monitor movement.
“Organize yourselves in every local government… arm yourselves with guns.”
