The All Progressives Congress(APC) has condoled with its Osun state chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, over the sudden death of his wife, Fatimah Lawal.
The party, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo on Saturday, noted that she died in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Friday.
It was gathered that the deceased died at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, after a brief illness.
“Her demise is a painful and irreparable loss, not only to the immediate Lawal family but also to the entire APC family in Osun State and beyond,” the party said.
Describing the deceased as a virtuous woman, devoted Muslimah, pillar of support to her husband, and compassionate mother, the party said she lived a life that reflected humility, kindness and unwavering commitment to her family and humanity.
The party said: “We extend our heartfelt condolences to our state chairman, his nuclear and extended families, and all those affected by this monumental loss.
“A family source disclosed that, in accordance with Islamic rites, her remains would be buried on Saturday, May 2, 2026, by 12 noon at Olasode, Ile-Ife.
May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give the family she left behind the fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss.”
