President Bola Tinubu has congratulated his longtime ally, Chief Pius Akinyerule on his 84th birthday.
Tinubu in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised Akinyelure for his remarkable contributions to Nigeria, particularly in the oil sector and political landscape.
The President noted that his relationship with Akinyelure spans over four decades, describing it as one built on trust, mentorship, and shared values.
He recalled that Akinyelure, a Certified Accountant, was once his superior at Mobil Nigeria Limited, where he served as Executive Director, Finance and External Relations, while the President worked as treasurer before his retirement, with over 30 years of experience in the oil industry,.
Akinyelure began his career at Exxonmobil before moving to Mobil Nigeria, where he distinguished himself in Finance and Management.
Tinubu noted his path with Chief Akinyelure first crossed in Exxonmobil before he later became His boss at mobil Nigeria.
He said the relationship later blossomed into friendship.
He adds that the Celebrant remains not only a friend and brother, but also a trusted partner, associate, and confidante.
The President commended Akinyelure’s steadfast support, candour, and foresight, acknowledging his significant contributions to Nigeria, the oil industry, the All Progressives Congress, and the nation’s democratic growth.
Tinubu wishes him good health and many more years of service to ondo state and the country.
