The Nigeria Democratic Congress(NDC) on Saturday declared former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
The NDC made the announcement at its Special Convention held in Abuja following the conclusion of its primary conducted across the country.
Obi, the NDC National Chairman, Seriake Dickson, and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had earlier arrived at the convention venue.
Obi and Kwankwaso recently joined the NDC after dumping the African Democratic Congress citing internal divisions.
