Two media aides to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, have resigned their appointments.
Thefrontrank reports that the two appointees who had rendered their resignation letters are Mr Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Multimedia; and Mr Olugbenga Abire, Special Assistant (SA) on media.
Gbamila in his resignation letter dated February 16, 2026, addressed to the governor said: “Your Excellency, thank you for the opportunity to serve. I hereby respectfully tender my resignation from my appointment.”
Competent source said more media aides to Aiyedatiwa are planning to resign due to poor treatment.
Some aides to the governor are alleging that the government has been hijacked by a cabal.
“Despite substantial resources available to the state, a few individuals have dominated the government and taken control of state resources,” the source said.
