Isaac Fayose, younger brother of a former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has berated the new appointment given to his elder brother.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, Fayose questioned the rationale behind the appointment.
He said president Bola Tinubu quickly gave his brother an appointment after the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, visited him.
Fayose was on Monday appointed as the chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, REA.
Reacting, the former governor’s younger brother said, “Just days after Mr Peter Obi visited me, they appointed my brother as a DG. Why didn’t they give him the appointment all these while?
“They didn’t even make him a minister or ambassador. Even Reno Omokri, who was never a governor, was appointed an ambassador.
“My brother once told me that after leaving Government House, he wouldn’t become a senator, minister, or DG.
“I know he may not accept the appointment, but if he does, who am I to question him,” he said.
