Ologbese hails dissolution of Ondo cabinet

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologbese, has hailed the decision of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to dissolve the State Executive Council.

Ologbese, in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, said the decision was a good one that would allow the government to function well.

He said that for the government to function well and effectively, it has become imperative that the Governor appoint credible people who would be loyal to him.

Ologbese, who said Ondo State must begin to work again after the “bastardization of governance by a set of former political appointees”, urged Aiyedatiwa to appoint people of impeccable character into his cabinet so as to return the state to its rightful position.

“I am very happy with the dissolution of the cabinet inherited from previous administration because loyalty is key to achieving optimal results in governance.

“I must say this is long overdue, and for governance to be smooth and effectively administered, loyalty is of essence,” he said.

Ologbese added that the dissolution and recent appointments showed that Aiyedatiwa understands governance and wanted the best for the people of Ondo State.

“It’s quite interesting that Mr Governor had done the right thing by appointing Dr Owolabi Adelami, a top class technocrat of vast knowledge in administration at federal level, as his Deputy.

“And as well as appointing a tested administrator and grassroots politician, Tayo Oluwatuyi (Tukana) into his cabinet as Secretary to the State Government which confirms he’s highly determined to run open, transparent and efficient administration which had eluded the State in the past one year.

” Having started on this good note, I also admonish Mr Governor to crown it all by appointing a few technocrats as Commissioners and Special Advisers with vast knowledge and experience in specialized fields for smooth running of his government,” Ologbese said.
